12月13日 A New Blog, A New Generation![]() Right now I’m working on a new Blog for which I create an own website. That’s why I can’t update this blog as much as before anymore. The new Blog is gona be pretty big so it’s a huge project I have going on with this. Finally no more dumb bugs and retarded restriction set by fucking Windows Live Space which is pretty much one of the worst Blogs in the web. The new Blog will be finished and open before March 2007. Just check back for further updates. 11月16日 !Scandal at UCLA!
And once again a shocking incident which will pull Americas image
further down the drain...click HERE for the VERY disturbing video. An incident late Tuesday night in which a UCLA
student was stunned at least four times with a Taser has left the UCLA
community questioning whether the university police officers' use of
force was an appropriate response to the situation.
Read HERE for more.
10月23日 Version 1.2 changes
Over 3 weeks ago I created this blog and people who’re
reading it since a week or more are noticing that I’m posting more news around
the media lately. That is because wanna turn this blog into a MediaNewsBlog
hybrid with news around celebrities, movies, DVDs, TV-Shows, Videogames etc. gathered
from all around the net. It’s a slightly different direction than what I aimed
before but I will still put up own articles with my thoughts and reviews. As additional changes I added a CD-Recommendations list to the TV-Show list and changed the description of this Blog. 10月21日 Future of Hybrid CarsThis video shows you that we're finally gona get some real
pretty hybrid cars which don't look like stuffed seashells anymore. Let's make
the world a better (and healthier) and get some! Who knows? Maybe like 10 years
in the future we won't even be allowed to drive gas-only cars. 10月20日 Living with a Dog’s lifeSince I was a kid I always wanted a dog and a cat. Well I already have a cat in my home in Swiss so what about a dog? Having a dog makes it easy to start a conversation with other people. I noticed this the last time when I had to watch a friend’s dog and waited outside a café. People kept coming and asked my out about the dog and here in America you will always see some cuties walking around with their dogs. That makes me wanna have one even more. Especially if you’re living in an area where at least half of all the neighbors have dogs by them self but there are always two factors you have to consider. Time and money. Dogs aren’t like cats. They need constant attention or you will see them running around like crazy and eating up furniture and shoes. What if they get sick? Medical treatments can blow up your wallet faster than you can say BYAKA. If I have to choose one it would be something like a Husky or Labrador. Those breeds are anything but an easy start as you can see so I rather wait a few more years before I get one (or two…) and till then I have enough time to come up with a proper name (definitely nothing remotely like Tinkerbell or Lola…). 10月19日 Anger ManagementEveryone one has its own way to deal with anger and frustration. One of my ways is in treating myself to something or buy some stuff but another way is in watching a violent movie with so much blood that you can’t take is serious anymore. As long as it’s dark and with people who are scared out of their minds it’s ok but violence can go in the other direction as well. In youtube for example you can see vides from retarded kits that are destroying any kinds of electronic devices. PC, Mac, Xbox 360, IPO, digital box etc. you name it. Watch a bunch of those video HERE. The only thing you shouldn’t to is smacking something up on your own. Belief me I know it. It’s not a fun thing to buy the same stuff over and over again because you messed it up out of anger or frustration. 10月18日 Morning ViewHere are pictures from the typically morning view of where I
which is really beautiful since most people in LA can't enjoy this kind of
view. What you see is the area of Glendale
and the mountains beyond. It's refreshing if you lean out of the window and breathe
in the cool morning breeze. 10月15日 It’s always sunny in California…unfortunatelyIf you’re from a place where there are 4 seasons and moving to LA you know how odd it can be. You don't get the seasons here so it’s either sunny all the time or raining which might sounds good for people who are living in England where you get mostly bad and foggy weather but after a while even that can get boring. I really miss spring, fall and winter and wish sometimes that we can get a storm or just anything else that’s not sunny. The weather forecast doesn’t help much in determine if its gona be sunny or not. Most of the time when they are saying that we’re gone get some rain you can be certain that there won’t be rain but than again it’s raining when they’re saying that it should be sunny. You see what I mean? It’s been month since we had any rain but we got some drizzling in between. At least something but when we actually have rain it can be really dangerous cause in that case the rain will be pouring for days which turns every hill into a potential landslides. Extremely dangerous when you’re actually living on it. The temperature is pretty warm most of the time during the day but the nights are getting colder now. You will be most likely freezing if you're not wearing a jacket. Of course we won’t get any snow but I can see snowy mountains from where I’m living on cold days. Learn the Language!I always hate it if I call somewhere for service or am in a Hotel and have to speak with people who can barely say anything in English. I mean c’mon you’re in America so why being so incredible lazy to not bother in learning it?! The basics would be enough for starters to communicate. There is just absolutely no excuse if you’re living for years here and still aren’t capable in saying anything in English. If our are working here (legal or not) LEARN IT! I have a lot of Japanese friends who cam to the US to learn the language and they can mostly speak it in a more advanced level but still not enough for me which makes it sometimes difficult if we’re hanging out and can’t speak about everything we want to. I can confuse them easily in using slang or making inside jokes about things that are happening in America. It might be the best if I start hanging out more with people who’re actually citizens here. 10月11日 My Car My TroublesWhen I came to LA I never drove a car before and everyone knows how crucial it is to have your own vehicle here. Public transportation is beyond awful and not nearly as good as it is in NY but because I never drove before it toke me 4 times at the DMV before I finally got my license. My car had to enduring quite a lot during that time because most of the scratches you see on it are made by me while I tried to park in a tide spot. I was such a bad parker and sometimes when I tried to leave I drove backwards right into another car… I also got a few parking tickets and maybe it’s time to finally put my license plate on it. Of course I have them but I always drive around without those plates since I got my car (over a year ago). It can be really scary to drive here at the beginning and especially on the Free- and Highway because LA has one of the worst traffics in the world and completely retarded drivers. Every time you drive in rush hour you will always get frustrated or angry but after some time you just don’t notice that anymore. Just go your way and don’t notice the other without making a crash. Screw the tempo limits. Everyone here is driving way to fast anyway so just be careful in school areas or the suburbs. 10月10日 End of Tower RecordsSad but true. Tower Records filed for bankruptcy and all stores are gone be closed. Click HERE for more information. Click here for the offical homepage 10月9日 Forgettable B-DaysAre you one of those people who're forgetting birthdays like all the time? Well I’m one of them and I’m really bad in it. You can tell me and I would forget it again within the next minutes. The only birthday I always remember is of course my own but I would be really concerned if I couldn’t even remember this one. I try to make a birthday-list for the future. Maybe then I will be able to remember like 1 or 2 birthdays…for every 10 I wrote down. 10月8日 Hookahs and MicrophonesOn Saturday evening we went with friends to a Hookah Bar which was quite interesting. A hookah is not damaging your lungs like with cigarettes as long as you use herbal fruits that goes with it. Afterwards we went to a Karaoke Bar with lots and lots of drunken people in it (which is normal in those places). So you can imagine how that sounds when they’re going on the stage and ruin one classic after another. It’s even worser when they are using an already depressing song and everyone else in the bar is half asleep. I wish it would be like in Japan where you can get your own private Karaoke Room with all the fancy and hi-tech stuff in it. 10月7日 Who's my Type?Friday evening we went out to West Hollywood on Santa Monica and Robertson (just got back by the time I wrote this). We had a (kinda) wild and funny time like always. Most times when I come here I have a certain routine (if I need to drive afterwards again). First I always go to the Appey. A beautiful bar, lounge and restaurant in one where I have an Apple Martini which usually makes me drunk right away. Afterwards we are going to the Rage. A Club just for dancing and have fun with my friends (by the time were leaving I’m sober enough to drive again) but not to find anyone to date because Rage has mostly Asian visitors and I’m not into Asians like at all. I normally don’t say this right away because people could get it the wrong way. It’s just that I feel myself naturally drawn to (cute, hot, hunky) white guys. That’s who I am and can’t change. Similar to why I don’t feel myself drawn to girls. Of course I don’t care with who I’m hanging out as long as I feel good and comfortable but dating is another thing. I only wanna go out with people who are my type so I rather act ignoring to the ones I just met so I don’t send out wrong signals. Not the best example I know and I try to change this behavior but it will take some time. Maybe next time I can handle those situation a little better and be even able to have normal conversations with them (oohhhh goodie -.-). A half dozen of those are about styling and how I can make my house and/or garden look better (great for some new inspiration). There’s even a weather channel where I can inform myself if its gona stay sunny or when we finally have some rain again here in LA. We’ve got our service from Time Warner Cable who bought up Adelphia (thank lord for that!) but I’m curious how happy I’m gona be in a month cause right now I’m not completely satisfied because some channels are still having short blackouts every other minutes. No idea where the problem lies but I will make some research on the I-Net or call them if the problem still exists by tomorrow. Another “must have” channel is the Foot Network where you will learn a whole lot about foot and how to cook a great and simple meal in a short time but be warned. You can get very hungry if you leave your TV all day long on this channel. One more thing I find very interesting is the video on demand option. With it you can choose from a big variety of shows or movies whenever you want and be even able to pause and rewind it without the need on an additional DVR (Digital Video Recorder). It can come in handy for people who wanna watch movies right away without the hassle in going to a video rental but I prefer to rent DVD since they are making full use of my wide-screen TV and surround system. You can have this too with the HD-Package but that one is too expensive right now (I think at least almost a hundred bucks per month) but I have more than enough shows to watch anyway. You can learn a lot with the 5 Discovery Channels, National Geographic, Animal Planet, Science Channel etc. For example I just saw how they implanted some brand new silicon implants on Dr. 90210 from E! Now I have at least always something to watch 24/7. No stupid commercials about money loan on the middle of the night which you unfortunately always get if you can watch only local channels via antenna. The biggest confusion will lie on the 4 remotes if have to use now. Each for the TV, Digital Box, DVD-Player and Surround System. I can already foresee many frustration moments this will give with always changing the remote. 10月4日 Painful Tears (literally)Sometimes when I get tired my eyes are tearing
up but the really odd thing is that occasionally those tears are painful
(physically). I have no idea why. It’s as if I’m rubbing soap into it. How can
my own tears causing my eyes pain and let them getting all red to let me look
as if I where completely stoned??? Maybe you can help finding an answer for
that but right now some eye drops should do it. Have a Lush lifeYou know those days where your face feels completely dry and
you don't wanna make any sudden movements with your mouth cause you’re worried
it could tear the skin apart? Well they are right on me now. Probably because
we have fall now where the air is getting more dried out but I really hate that
feeling. Your face just feels like dried out shit. I know. Not a very nice
thing to imagine so I just have to use a whole lot of moisturizing crèmes. My
favorite choices for them are the ones from Lush. Their soaps and crèmes are
made all organic (no chemicals) and without the use of animal testing.
Unfortunately the store in Santa
Monica where I used to buy them is close for
remodeling (since a long while) and I have no idea when they’re gona reopen
again. I hope soon cause I almost used up every of their products. I’m sure
that you might be able to find a store near you. |
